Expansion with additional functionality
Palomat AMR pallet management system
Palomat AMR is an automatic empty pallet management system that works with mobile robots. The device acts as a pallet warehouse that automatically stacks pallets and separates them into individual pieces.
This allows the AMR robot to pick or put away pallets without operator intervention. The system provides constant access to pallets and eliminates manual handling, which increases safety and order in logistics processes.
Palomat acts as a pallet buffer between production, warehouse and internal transport. The solution makes it possible to create a fully automated pallet flow in the plant.
Nord Modules cargo transfer module
Nord Modules’ Quick Mover is a transport module for AMR robots that enables automatic pick-up and drop-off of loads without operator intervention.
With its lifting mechanism, the robot can work directly with conveyors, production lines and workstations. The solution allows the automatic transfer of materials between different points in the production or logistics process. Quick Mover eliminates the need for manual handling and increases the fluidity of material flow in the plant.
The system can be easily integrated into existing transportation infrastructure and production and logistics management systems. This makes AMR robots an integral part of intralogistics automation.
ROEQ transport systems for AMR robots
ROEQ conveyor systems extend the capabilities of AMR robots to automatically transport forklifts and various types of loads in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
By using robot-mounted transport modules and special carts (carts), it is possible to create a flexible system for transporting materials between workstations. The AMR robot can automatically pick up a cart with a load, transport it to the indicated location and put it back in the designated zone.
The solution allows you to automate the transportation of components, semi-finished and finished products in your plant. The ROEQ system is a modular solution that can be easily adapted to different production and logistics scenarios.
What are AMR robots?
AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) are autonomous mobile robots that autonomously move around a warehouse or manufacturing plant and transport materials without an operator.
They use a digital map of their surroundings, sensors and a robot fleet management system, so they can carry out transportation tasks in a fully autonomous manner.
How do AMR robots work?
AMR robots navigate based on space mapping and navigation systems using sensors and security scanners.
As a result, they can detect obstacles, avoid people and other vehicles, and dynamically optimize transport routes in real time.
How do AMR robots differ from AGVs?
AMR robots operate autonomously and can change their route independently depending on the situation in the environment.
AGV robots, on the other hand, move along predetermined routes (e.g., lines or markers) and have limited ability to react to changes in the operating environment.
Therefore, AMRs are a more flexible solution in dynamic production and warehouse environments.
Where are AMR robots being used?
AMR robots are primarily used in intralogistics, including:
- supplying production lines
- transport between workstations
- warehouses and logistics centers
- Handling pallets, containers and production components.
What does the implementation of AMR robots look like?
The process of implementing AMR robots typically includes analysis of logistics processes, preparation of a solution concept, and pilot testing (PoC).
Once the effectiveness of the system is confirmed, proper implementation, integration with plant infrastructure and IT systems follows.
How long does it take to deploy AMR robots?
Implementation time depends on the scale of the project and the degree of integration with existing systems.
Simple projects can be implemented in a matter of weeks, while more elaborate systems involving multiple robots and logistics processes may require 3 to 6 months.
How many AMR robots are needed in the system?
The number of robots depends on many factors, such as the number of transports, the length of routes or the intensity of logistics processes.
Therefore, a material flow analysis (flow analysis) is performed before implementation. Many projects start with 1-3 robots, and the system is then gradually scaled up.
Do AMR robots require changes in infrastructure?
Typically, no. AMR robots can operate in an existing warehouse or manufacturing environment and do not require the installation of tracks, guides or lines in the floor.
In some projects, additional components such as pick-up and drop-off stations are installed.
Can AMR robots be integrated with ERP or WMS systems?
Yes. AMR systems can be integrated with ERP, WMS and MES systems.
This automatically links material transport to actual production and logistics processes in the company.
What kind of cargo can AMR robots transport?
Depending on the configuration, AMR robots can transport different types of cargo, including:
- pallets
- cartons
- production components
- logistics containers
- transport carts (carts).
Are AMR robots safe to work with humans?
Yes. AMR robots are equipped with safety systems such as laser scanners, obstacle detection sensors and emergency stop systems.
This allows them to work safely in a mixed environment where people and forklifts are also moving around.
Can AMR robots work 24/7 and can the system be expanded in the future?
Yes. AMR robots are designed for continuous operation and can automatically commute to charging stations.
AMR systems are also scalable – more robots can be added, functionality can be expanded, and new logistics processes can be integrated as the company grows.
