RFID technology for logistics and supply chain - radio frequency identification system
RFID radio frequency identification technology makes it possible to read RFID tags attributed to a particular product or person. Unlike barcode-based identification, RFID does not require physical contact between the object being identified and the reader. RFID technology can be used particularly effectively in logistics, tracking production processes, inventory, or closed-loop control of products.

Supply chain optimization - bet on innovation

"Optimization of the supply chain is essential to maintain business continuity and deliver goods to customers in the shortest possible time."
Warehouse flows in particular are subject to identification, which you can support with modern technology. Crucial for efficient management is the use of an ERP system. We offer you a WMS system that is compatible with numerous devices, such as data collectors. The innovative software also allows you to manage orders and deliveries, supports the flow of logistical information and optimizes the execution time of individual tasks.
If you are wondering what is failing in your company’s logistics, the most common answer is an improperly designed supply chain. Optimization allows you to eliminate bottlenecks that lengthen processes, consume resources and generate high warehouse labor costs. I will help you find solutions to make supply optimization a reality, not just a plan.

RFID technology - what is it?

RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology is a method of identification using radio waves. It allows reading and transmitting data, as well as remotely powering the chips that store the data. Recording can be done from a distance of both a few centimeters and a few meters. It’s worth mentioning that RFID technology also makes it possible to restrict access to selected areas, control working hours and effectively manage traffic.

Tag - RFID tag
The basis for the operation of the RFID system are tags (tags) in either permanent (reusable) or disposable form – so-called RFID tags. Each tag contains an individual identification number, which allows unambiguous identification of the object, product or person assigned to it.
RFID tags act as data carriers – they are the heart and brain of remote radio frequency identification systems. Depending on the technology, they can be passive, semi-active or active tags – the latter allow data to be read from up to tens of meters away.
RFID antenna
The RFID antenna acts as an intermediary between the tag and the reader. It emits radio waves that activate the tags within its range, and then receives the data sent by those tags and transmits it to the reader.
Depending on the needs and the adopted solution, the RFID system can be equipped with one or more antennas. Proper selection and placement of antennas directly affects the effectiveness and range of data reading.
RFID reader
An RFID reader is a device (stationary or mobile) that communicates with tags via an antenna and reads data from them and, in some cases, also writes them. Depending on the application, the reader can take the form of a mobile data collector, a desktop reader or a long-range reader.
The technology used (LF, HF, UHF) determines the possible reading range – it can reach from a few centimeters to even 5 meters in the case of passive solutions. Our offer includes professional RFID readers from reputable manufacturers such as Zebra, Honeywell and FEIG, ensuring high reliability and long life.

Advantages of RFID technology

RFID systems bring many benefits from both process optimization and security perspectives. Among the most popular are:
In addition, tags can take various forms. The RFID card, which is used primarily for identification and registration purposes, is very popular. It is a good idea to equip your employees with an RFID card in order to precisely control working time.
In logistics, the RFID tag is used to mark shipments of units issued by the unit. This allows the necessary information to be read in a shorter time. The RFID sticker speeds up distribution, making the process more efficient.

How to use RFID technology in your business?

RFID systems are used in a wide range of industries, so they are very likely to work well for your company as well.
Our specialists will analyze its situation and then suggest what solutions to implement. RFID technology in the optimization of the supply chain plays a key role, because the precise selection of products is important for the further distribution process. Its application shortens the lead time, and allows optimal use of labor time. You can also use RFID in stores and even in offices. If you want to restrict access to selected areas, manage inventory efficiently, or streamline checkout traffic, this technology is for your business.
How to implement RFID technology?
If the above issues seem interesting to you on the one hand, but complicated on the other, you have come to the right place! We are here to clarify all the inaccuracies for you and introduce solutions to make your company competitive. As you already know, RFID technology can be applied to many processes. RFID tags or ID cards can become key elements of optimization. However, to implement specific concepts, you need more than just equipment, such as an RFID scanner. The logistics of the whole endeavor are also important, i.e. the planning of individual solutions, and the experts at HKK Group can help you with this.

The power of possibilities with RFID technology
RFID technologies offer numerous opportunities for security, optimization and savings, but you need to know how to use them in your business. We are here to guide you through the entire process, from solution selection to testing. We have more than 30 years of experience working with companies of different business profiles, so we are sure to help you too.
