CAB ROXI Automatic Labeling Heads
CAB ROXI are industrial, automatic labeling heads designed for the precise application of self-adhesive labels to products, components, and packaging. Their compact design facilitates direct integration with machines and production lines. ROXI can handle material up to 180 mm wide at speeds of up to 30 m/min. Various mounting options and application modules allow the labeling process to be tailored to a specific production process.

Automatic label application directly on the production line
The CAB ROXI automatically picks up labels from the roll, separates them from the backing, and feeds them to the application point. This allows for labeling to take place without the operator having to manually peel off and apply each label.
The print head can be installed as part of a production line, a packaging machine, or a larger automatic labeling system . Its operation can be synchronized with the product’s movement using an encoder, allowing the label feed speed to adjust to the conveyor’s speed.
ROXI can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or at an angle, and the material can be fed to the left or to the right. This makes it easy to adapt the unit to both new workstations and existing lines where installation space is limited.
This solution works well wherever labels need to be applied automatically, consistently, and in a fixed position relative to the product.

Not Just Labels—Applying Other Elements
ROXI can be used for more than just standard product and packaging labels.
When properly configured, the printhead also allows for the automatic application of protective films, membranes, gaskets, thermal pads, covers, and other components made of self-adhesive materials.
This makes it possible to use a single type of solution in a wide variety of manufacturing processes—from traditional product marking to the precise placement of a component that is part of the product’s design.
The application method can be tailored to the type of material, the product’s geometry, and its position during the process. Available solutions include, among others, those that use pressure rollers, brushes, and pneumatic modules.

* For the ROXI 180, the maximum speed achieved also depends on the dimensions of the material being used and the specific application.
The devices can handle paper labels as well as synthetic materials, including PET, PE, PP, and PVC.
For very small labels, thin substrates, or materials that use a strong adhesive, it is a good idea to conduct a process test beforehand.

Matching the application method to the product
The final stage of label application can be configured to suit a specific application.
CAB offers ROXI a range of products, including pressure rollers, brushes, feed modules, product and label sensors, and components that allow for precise adjustment of the application point. The position of the application component can be adjusted relative to the label peel-off point and the product being conveyed.
Specialized silicone rollers are also available for use in the food industry and cleanroom environments, among other applications.
The modular design allows the print head to be adapted for both simple label application to a moving product and more demanding applications where it is necessary to control the position, angle, or pressure.
Consumable parts, such as rollers and brushes, can be replaced quickly, which makes it easier to maintain the machine during regular production operations.

Expansion to include HERMES and Print & Apply applicators
For more demanding processes, the capabilities of the CAB ROXI can be expanded with additional modules.
The print head is compatible with the HERMES Q and HERMES QL applicators, which enable, among other things, pneumatic label application to products in motion or at rest, as well as more complex label transfer methods.
This makes it possible to tailor the solution for applications involving different sides of the product, surfaces located at varying distances from the print head, or processes requiring more precise ink transfer.
ROXI can also be connected to the CAB PX QS printing module. In this configuration, the system can function as a Print & Apply solution—the label is first printed with the current data and then automatically applied to the product.
As a result, ROXI can function both as a standalone labeling head and as part of a more complex automated labeling system.

Integration with Automation and Control Systems
The CAB ROXI is designed to work with automation systems for machines and production lines. The available interfaces allow, among other things, the transmission of signals START, STOP, information about the device’s readiness, label presence, end of material, and any errors that occur.
Synchronization with the conveyor can be achieved using an encoder. Options for communication with master systems and industrial controllers are also available.
The color operator panel allows you to configure, among other things, material speed, label position, start delay, application parameters, and device diagnostics.
Remote access and software updates for the device are also possible, which simplifies its operation and maintenance in an automated production environment.

How do I choose a CAB ROXI applicator?
Selecting the right configuration should begin with an analysis of the product, the label, and how the line operates.
The following are particularly important:
- label width and length,
- the type of material and adhesive,
- product transport speed,
- required positioning accuracy,
- the location and direction in which the label is applied,
- application method—e.g., roller, brush, or pneumatic system,
- orientation and available installation space,
- the need for synchronization with the conveyor,
- method of communication with a PLC or a master system,
- the possible need to print the label immediately before application.
