What will the year 2025 be like? Technologies that will affect logistics and manufacturing

After a long celebration of almost two weeks, it is time to return to business reality. Will it be different from the previous year? In our opinion, 2025 will be a time of consolidation of trends that we have been observing for some time.

Unlike previous years, the popularization of certain technological areas will make them accessible not only to the largest Organizations, but also to companies in the SME sector. Below we share with you our thoughts on the technological changes from which there is no turning back, and which will become even closer to us.

First, the economy. Where are we and what should we expect in 2025.

Poland and the European economy are unfortunately not in the best condition. Poland’s PMI industrial index (a leading indicator of economic conditions) has been unable to exceed 50 points for 22 months now, indicating the recessionary form of our industry. The situation is even worse in our main trading partner, Germany.

On the other hand, very positive trends in the industrial PMI are observed in Spain, where the economy is booming mainly due to access to cheaper energy, which is the best confirmation of the need for nuclear power plants in Poland.

However, analysts believe that the form of Polish industry will be on the upswing this year, mainly due to the need to rebuild low inventories, an increase in the number of orders and greater inflows of investment funds (for example, from KPO). Thus, as far as Poland is concerned, expect cautious but improving economic sentiment.

How do you increase your chance of success?

First, automate

Automation is a very broad and diverse topic. The common denominator of all activities aimed at automation of processes is to replace human labor with machine elements to improve efficiency and quality. Automated processes, if configured and implemented in the right way, will be faster and more reliable than the classic manual process.

In HKK Group’s offer you will find a number of solutions to automate daily business processes, among which the most noteworthy are: automatic labeling of products and pallets, automation of warehouse receipts, automatic sizing of products to increase the quality of the so-called master date, automation of warehouse releases, automation of data collection in the production process, robotization and automation of goods handling through the use of AGV robots.

Introduce systems that support big data analysis and learning systems (artificial intelligence)

Systems that manage specific business areas, e.g. a WMS-class warehouse management system or an MES-class manufacturing process management system, are a standard solution for many companies and have been used for many years.

However, recent months have brought significant changes in terms of the details of their operation. These include the development of algorithms that enable analysis of large amounts of data to predict the best business scenarios.

In our offer you will find both WMS systems supported by algorithms of this type, as well as digital twin system for production supported by methods of statistical analysis in order to build the most effective production schedules.

Trends 2025 include automation, machine vision solutions, systems supporting big data analysis and learning systems (artificial intelligence), as well as ESG, energy efficiency and nearshoring.

Machine Vision or the skilled eye of a digital camera

Another technology that will significantly change the operation of the modern warehouse and production floor is machine vision, or digital systems for analyzing recorded images.

Systems of this type are already being used today to strengthen the quality control process (by comparing the analyzed image to a pattern), but also in component localization processes, in automatic receipt or release processes.

Machine vision is definitely one of those areas that increase business confidence.

ESG work organization changes, energy efficiency, nearshoring

The year 2025 will not only see technological advances, but also organizational changes that will affect our business reality. Some of these are necessitated by the economic environment (the need to improve energy efficiency), others are the result of global environmental trends (broad ESG measures), and still others are the result of increased geopolitical risk and the changed structure of the Customer-Provider relationship.

Nearshoring means remodeling and geographic relocation of supplier networks to maximize their geographic and geopolitical proximity, which can have the effect of reducing vulnerability to increasing customs burdens and lowering logistics costs.

We just know how

HKK Group, thanks to its cooperation with major partners operating in the trade, logistics and manufacturing sectors, implements solutions based on the above-mentioned technologies on a daily basis. Take advantage of our support and be prepared for the technological revolution.
