Accredited CO₂e emissions reporting - a new standard in the supply chain

Modern logistics and supply chain management are increasingly focused on sustainability. CO₂e emissions reporting is no longer solely the domain of global leaders, and is becoming a standard applicable to manufacturing, e-commerce and retail sectors as well.

HKK, in cooperation with Blue Yonder, is introducing a new functionality for its customers that enables full, internationally compliant monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions in transportation and logistics.

Integration of Pledge technology with Blue Yonder Platform

Blue Yonder, a global leader in digital supply chain transformation and logistics automation, has acquired Pledge, an established provider of Scope 3 emissions measurement and reporting solutions.

With this integration Blue Yonder platform has gained the ability to automatically collect data from carriers and perform accredited emissions calculations for all modes of transportation.

The calculations are in accordance with GLEC (Global Logistics Emission Council) guidelines and the ISO 14083 standard, which guarantees full compliance with international standards.

Business and operational benefits

The new functionality is not only a way to meet reporting requirements such as CSRD, SBTi and CDP, but also a real opportunity to optimize costs and increase operational efficiency. With accurate emissions data, companies can:

  • eliminate empty runs and shorten routes,

  • reduce fuel consumption,

  • make better use of resources and fleet,

  • Increase accountability of logistics suppliers,

  • Improve transportation and warehousing planning within WMS systems.

This combination of ESG strategy with modern optimization tools is part of the trend of automation of warehouse logistics and digital twin (digital twin) supply chain.

Why is accredited emissions reporting key?

Many logistics operators use emissions monitoring tools solely for their own data. Meanwhile, the real value comes from integrating information across the entire ecosystem of carriers, partners and suppliers. Embedding reporting functionality into the Blue Yonder Platform empowers customers with accurate, timely and comparable data, resulting in better operational decisions and full readiness for ESG audits

The integration of Pledge’s solutions with Blue Yonder is a milestone for sustainable logistics. Our customers gain a tool that combines regulatory requirements with real business benefits – from optimizing routes, to reducing fuel costs, to strengthening transparency throughout the supply chain.

This is another example of how technology in warehouse logistics can support environmental, regulatory and operational goals simultaneously.
